What? When?:
Our 'Built Different Athlete' program is an annual project that has a very similar structure to our popular speed clinics. It involves in-person speed training that will be conducted at certain times and days throughout the week.

What's the difference?
This program has added a strength and conditioning component that compliments the weekly speed trainings. Nox Performance believes that to be a complete athlete,, the necessary strength and conditioning training needs to be implemented to help with not only an athlete's speed but overall athletic performance.
Our upcoming athlete testing event at Bruce Pullman Arena will feature comprehensive assessments, including vertical jump tests, force mat analysis, agility tests, and more. This high-performance environment will provide athletes with valuable data on their capabilities while allowing them to showcase their athleticism.
The current intake for the Built Different Athlete Program begins on 07/12/2024 and will run for 8 weeks. Unlike our 6-week Speed Clinics, this program extends an additional 2 weeks to optimise speed as well as athletic development. This program will also incorporate other necessary athletic qualities, such curvilinear running and change of direction.
Athlete Groups:
Foundation Athlete
Our 'Foundation Athlete Program' is designed for beginners and aspiring athletes of all ages, offering a supportive environment to master the core principles of speed and strength training. Led by our experienced head trainer, the program focuses on building a strong foundation in speed mechanics and strength training prinicpals.
(Ideal for athletes ages 10yrs - 13yrs)
How it works:
1. ATHLETE TESTING (Baseline)
-
Athlete testing is conducted at Bruce Pulman Arena using state-of-the-art equipment, including the VALD timing system.
-
Comprehensive and precise (baseline) assessments provide a clear understanding of each athlete’s physical capabilities.
-
Detailed testing data allows us to personalise training programs effectively from the outset.
2. SPEED + STRENGTH & CONDITIONING TRAINING
-
Our Speed Program offers multiple weekly sessions, with specific dates and times tailored to your chosen athlete level. For example: the Foundation Program includes 3 classes per week, and you can attend as many as you like. The progressive structure ensures that missing a session won’t set you back, but consistent attendance will maximise results.
-
Speed training is conducted in person, while the strength and conditioning component is completed online through our TrueCoach app. This flexibility allows athletes to structure their training week according to their schedule. More details on the TrueCoach app are provided through our athlete booklet.
3. ATHLETE RE-TEST
-
After 8 weeks of dedicated speed, strength, and conditioning training, a follow-up testing session will be held at Bruce Pulman Arena.
-
The reassessment will measure each athlete's progress, providing a clear view of the improvements made during the program.
-
The goal is to validate the effectiveness of the training, ensuring it has positively impacted performance and helped athletes reach new levels of athletic development.
3. PERFORM
-
This program will conclude early next year, placing athletes in the ideal position to either progress to the next stage of training or be in peak condition for in-season sports.
